Charitable Status

Cunninghame Housing Association became a Charity Registered in Scotland on 21 March 2007.  Our Registered Charity Number is SCO37972.

The main advantage in becoming a charity is that we can reduce the amount of tax we have to pay, which means that we have more money to spend on things that matter to our tenants in terms of improving on our service delivery. 

As a charity, CHA can also apply for funding from other sources such as the Big Lottery etc., etc..

All the work we currently do for our tenants will continue to be done by CHA.  There will be no change to the way we organise the work we do in our homes or the services we provide because of the change to a charity.

However, there has been a change made in the way that services are delivered to our Factored Owners.  From now on the Factored Service to owners will be carried out by our subsidiary company, Cunninghame Enterprises, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cunninghame Housing Association Ltd.
