Partnership Working

North Ayrshire Care & Repair has developed close working relationships with a number of external agencies to enable a multi-agency approach of service delivery to our clients.

Care & Repair recognise and acknowledge that without the services provided by the external agencies we would not be able to provide the comprehensive level of service available to our clients.Both the Police and Fire & Rescue provide home safety/security checks to Care & Repair clients which generates the following;

• Installation of smoke detectors
• Information on fire safety awareness
• Installation of home security measures such as ; locks, lights,etc.
• Information on the awareness of bogus callers

The above measures all enhance the safety, security and living environment of Care & Repair clients, while the Police and Fire & Rescue are pleased to be involved in work of a preventative nature.

Care & Repair has close working links with North Ayrshire Social Services and has access to a designated OT Assistant who is responsible for fielding referrals generated from Care & Repair.

The types of referrals issued relate mainly to mobility and bathing issues which have been identified during a home visit.

Care & Repair has a good working relationship with NAC Technical Services which enables grant funding to be accessed on behalf of our clients who require major works carried out at their properties.
