Property Repairs

Care & Repair can provide access to practical and financial assistance to clients who require to carry out major repair work to their homes.

The type of works considered by Care & Repair include dampness remedial works, electrical upgrades, roughcast and cladding, roof works and replacement of windows and doors.

An assessment of any works requested will be carried out by Care & Repair and if it is viewed that the works requested are necessary assistance will be provided to progress the matter.

Care & Repair have developed a Contractor Business List that enables clients to be provided with at least two estimates of costs for any works they require.  All contractors included within the Care & Repair Business List have been checked to ensure they comply with health & safety procedures and hold appropriate insurance.  Further to the above it is essential that all contractors have a high regard for the needs of the client.

Care & Repair will arrange for the contractor to visit and discuss the works required.  The contractor will provide Care & Repair with a specification and cost of the works identified which are required to resolve the issue raised.  Financial assistance towards the cost of works can be provided through access to Local Authority Repair or Improvement Grant.

Care & Repair staff will arrange for a grant application to be submitted and will advise of the information that is required to be included within the application.  Care & Repair will keep the client fully informed at all times and will provide advice and support to ensure that works are completed to the clients satisfaction.
