Human Resources
The Human Resources section is part of the Corporate Services Department within Cunninghame Housing Association. The HR Manager, Tony Sweeney is assisted by the Senior Secretary, Lindsay Grieve in ensuring that the function delivers an effective service.

Cunninghame Housing Association appreciates that the key to competitive advantage and sustained success is through its most valuable asset, its people, both staff and voluntary Management Committee Members.
The HR Manager is a member of the Association’s Corporate Management team and acts as an adviser to the Joint Consultative Committee (J.C.C.). We assist managers in making decisions on when to recruit, train and develop people and we support the areas of business reorganisation and change management. In a people centred organisation, such as CHA, the H.R. strategy is pro-active and planned and is an essential component of the overall business strategy.
The Human Resources function supports all areas of the business operation, and the HR strategy is therefore very much connected to the Association’s Mission Statement ‘More than just a landlord’ and the Organisational Values and supporting Values statements – Mission & Values - and is influenced in the main, by the Association’s planned activities, including:-
- Effective delivery of existing services
- Continuous Improvement
- Expansion and diversification of our operations
In developing our HR strategy we have taken account of the following:-

The structure, job roles and reporting lines of the organisation

The skill levels, staff potential and management capability
H.R. Systems
The people focused systems and mechanisms that will deliver the strategy i.e., communications, training, rewards, career development, etc.
