Regeneration
Our Community Regeneration Unit, based in the Michael Lynch Centre for Enterprise, is responsible for the development, management and delivery of the Association’s portfolio of wider action and regeneration initiatives. Cunninghame Housing Association was the first housing association in Ayrshire to have dedicated Regeneration staff.

In 2003 our Chief Executive brokered an innovative partnership with the Moffat Charitable Trust, securing £250,000 over 3 years and agreed to match this with CHA resources. We initially established a 2 person Community Regeneration Unit to develop the social inclusion agendas of both partners. This investment enabled us to broaden our regeneration activities out beyond capital works and intermediate labour market initiatives to include the creation of a child and family centre; a Fab Pad interior design project to assist young people sustain housing tenancies; and initiatives with local schools.
2006 marked the beginning of our next phase of activity as new initiatives came on stream including our Michael Lynch Centre for Enterprise, First Steps childcare initiative and Opp2mise social economy support programme. Our Community Regeneration Unit now employs 7 members of staff.
