New Street, Stevenston

The Association acquired this small site from NAC in March 2006. 

We successfully demolished the existing building in April 2007 with various features being set aside for recycling / reuse within the future design.  The current proposals can accommodate 6 (1 and 2 bedroom) flats for rent.

Given the size and scale of this project, it was anticipated that any tenders obtained would not be competitive and in fact, we would have experienced difficulty in obtaining a tender list.  In light of this, we have agreed with CS that we will negotiate with Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd who are currently developing our site in Largs with us.

The Association Design Team has now been appointed from the Association’s Framework Agreement for this new build project as follows:

• Anderson Bell Christie Architects – Project Architects

• Thomas C. Stewart – Quantity Surveyors

• Hodgins Smith Partnership – Structural Engineers

• CDM (Scotland) Ltd – CDM Co-ordinators
