IIP Reaccreditation
CHA sees Investors in People as critical to its further growth and further development and, from first accreditation in 1999, has once again come forward to achieve its 4th accreditation.
Cunninghame Housing Association Ltd was founded in 1984 and is the largest housing association in Ayrshire. It manages housing stock in North, East and South Ayrshire and is run by a voluntary Management Committee comprising 16 members. It currently employs around 77 Staff across three locations with a Head Office based in Ardrossan.
Operating under the banner of being “more than just a Landlord”, Cunninghame Housing Association’s operation extends further than the management of housing stock. Victoria House in Irvine provides short-stay accommodation for homeless people; the Michael Lynch Centre for Enterprise in Ardrossan is the location for the Association’s Social and Economic Regeneration Unit, which supports small businesses and people in the community to develop their potential. Each one of these activities, together with their landlord role, are testimony to the diversity of Cunninghame Housing Association’s overall operation and strategic intent to embrace corporate social responsibility.

Registering as a charity in 2007, Cunninghame Housing Association continuously challenges itself to capitalise on its roots as a housing association and to develop further its activities in support of the communities it serves.
No stranger to awards and reflecting this corporate social responsibility culture, the Association won the award in the category of Impact on Society for a Small Company at the Scottish Business in the Community Awards 2008 and the Chartered Institute of Housing Award, Outstanding Achievement in Housing in Scotland 2007. It sees Investors in People as critical to its further growth and further development and, from first accreditation in 1999, has once again come forward to achieve its 4th accreditation.
