Annual Tenants Conference 2025

We were proud to host our 14th Annual Tenants Conference at the Seamill Hydro on the 24th of June 2025.

CHA was delighted to host its 14th Annual Tenants Conference at the Seamill Hydro on 24th June 2025.

The event welcomed over 60 tenants from across our three regions. Many guests took advantage of the free transport provided by the Association. Some attendees came from as far as Annan to join in the day’s events and activities.

Presentations

The days informative presentations focused on:

  • What’s New at CHA – An update on recent developments, services, and initiatives within the Association from our CEO, Jacqueline Cameron.
  • News on the Housing Emergency – A look at the current housing crisis and its impact on communities by Mhairi Snowden, Head of Policy & Programmes, Homeless Network.
  • Community Housing Advocacy ProjectAdvice on homelessness, money problems and benefit support information on the service was provided by Robin Ballantyne, Senior Education Officer.
  • CHA’s approach to the Tenancy Sustainment – A presentation on how CHA is actively responding to the crisis and supporting tenants by Karen Agnew, Housing Services Manager and Heather Craig, Area Team Manager.
  • Review of the Lemon Aid Fuel Poverty Advice Service – Insights into the recent review of the service’s effectiveness and the difference it has made for tenants by Cunninghame Scrutiny Group was presented by Chris Austen and Heather Grant.
  • Fuel Poverty & Money Advice – Practical advice on managing financial pressures and accessing support through the Lemon Aid team for fuel poverty by Paul Clark, Operations Manager and Leanne Morrison, Financial Wellbeing Officer.
An enjoyable afternoon for everyone!

Entertainment and Bingo

Entertainment was provided by the talented pupils of St Bridget’s Primary School, with a mini performance of their school show, Madagascar.

Once again the bingo and raffle were a tenant favourite, with a fantastic range of prizes up for grabs! Tenants walked away with goodies including an air fryer, kettle, chocolates, supermarket vouchers, and more.

A special thanks goes to Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company for their generous donation of two additional air fryers and a £100 in-store voucher!
