Families in Dumfries & Galloway now have 3 ways they can receive Free School Meals:
1: Receive a Cash Sum of £35 every 2 weeks (£17.50 weekly) for each child & arrange your own food.
2: Delivery of Free School Meals Food Pack to your house
3: Collection of Free School Meals Food Pack from a Community Hub
If you choose 2 or 3, this is the same way you receive the Free School Meal. You do not have to do anything about this.
You need to register by 10.00pm on a Tuesday for payment on a Friday. This is a rolling programme until schools return or the end of term. You will continue to receive your food delivery, or make a collection until your first payment. This will stop as you will receive the cash payment. You will be paid once every two weeks on a Friday until schools return or the end of term. If you do not choose a cash payment, collecting food packs or having them delivered to your home will continue.
