Getting Involved

We encourage our tenants to get involved in various ways. Tenant involvement helps us to listen and adapt. We value your views!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Your views are important to us and we actively encourage you to give feedback to:

  • help us to continually improve our services
  • monitor and review our progress
  • influence decision making that affects you.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get involved. There are a range of ways that you can get involved as an individual or as part of a group. We appreciate the time and commitment of tenant volunteers, therefore we will:

  • arrange transport or reimburse any travelling expenses
  • provide refreshments at meetings
  • provide any training required.

CUNNINGHAME SCRUTINY GROUP

The Cunninghame Scrutiny Group (CSG) is a tenant led scrutiny group that independently review aspects of our housing services. They work in partnership with CHA to continuously improve services. Their role includes:

  • To independently review and scrutinise the performance of CHA’s housing services to support service improvements.
  • To review CHA’s performance against the Scottish Social Housing Charter indicators.
  • To make recommendations and report progress on actions to CHA’s Executive Management Team and Board of Management.

LOCAL TENANT GROUPS

Join a group in your area or set up a new one with our support. Become active within your community, dealing with local issues of concern and considering the best way to help improve your local area. They are a good way of influencing our services and policy reviews on an ongoing basis. Many tenant group members also volunteer to take part in wider consultations and events.

COMMUNICATION & EVENTS GROUP

This group meet when required to help produce tenant publications such as our quarterly newsletters and the annual performance report to tenants. They also help plan and organise major tenant events such as our annual tenant conference.

CUNNINGHAME FORUM

The Forum meet three times a year and is attended by representatives of all our tenant groups. It is a gathering to share experiences and good practice. They also review policies and procedures, develop and monitor tenant activities and help organise community events.

TENANT SATISFACTION SURVEY

The Association carries out a tenant satisfaction survey every two years. This is to determine views and satisfaction levels of tenants across a wide variety of issues. The results are used to drive improvements in our services. We appreciate those who take the time to talk to independent researchers to complete the survey.
