The Annan Development site was acquired in March 2017. The Association acquired the building which fronts the site onto the High Street as well as the land behind. In total, 27 new properties will be provided, a mix of new build accommodation to the rear and the front building being refurbished to provide 5 new flats. Works commenced on site in May 2018 and completed 25th February 2020.
On Tuesday February 25, Kevin Stewart, MSP Minister for Local Government and Housing, visited Cunningham Housing Association’s new build project at the former Carrs Billington site, High Street, Annan to carry out the official
closing ceremony. On August 8 2018 the Minister carried out the official launch of the new housing development.

Cunninghame Housing Association’s new project in Annan will bring many benefits to the people of the town. These 27 new homes will provide much needed quality, affordable places to live and help to contribute to the local community and economy.
One of the main features of this new project has been the retention of the red sandstone front building, bringing it back to life and creating residential properties within this excellent town centre location. The Leader of Dumfries & Galloway Council, Elaine Murray commented “This is an exciting development which the Council was glad to support. Cunninghame Housing Association Ashleigh are to be congratulated on producing an attractive development in a remarkably short period of time which will support both the regeneration of Annan town centre and the Council’s carbon reduction programme.”
