The £500 Self Isolation Support is being extended to include parents on low a income. This is as well as those on low income who claim Universal Credit or other benefits.
This is open to parents or carers who can work from home due to caring for a child under 16. This include those who may face loss of income due to the self-isolation.
It will also become available to those who may be qualified for Universal Credit, but have not yet applied.
Both changes will be introduced from 7 December
