Ardrossan Community Sports Hub Grant Award

Ardrossan Community Sports Hub

John Kelly, Chairperson of CHA, presented a cheque to David Thompson, Sports Hub Manager.

John Kelly, Chair of Cunninghame Housing Association presented a cheque for £1,000 to David Thompson, Ardrossan Community Sports Hub Manager.

Ardrossan Community Sports Hub is a registered charity. It was set up by a local group to run the project. It is run by a volunteer committee. The group opened a community gym in Eglinton Street, Ardrossan. They aim to use physical activity to improve physical and mental health. This in turn creates a sense of well being in the community.

The funds received from Cunninghame Housing Association will help with costs of improving the heating within the gym. This is needed to the run the gym, giving hot water and a comfortable temperature.

Our thanks go out to Cunninghame Housing Association. The help from the Making Our Communities a Better Place fund is doing exactly that. Without the help we would not be able to continue with our community gym.
