91,000 unpaid carers will be paid double this winter!
Carers in Scotland will now get a double amount of the Carer’s Allowance Supplement. The deal was passed by the Scottish Government earlier this month.
The Carer’s Allowance (Scotland) Bill was passed due to the pressure carers in Scotland faced because of Covid.
The December pay will be doubled to £462.80. This benefits tens of thousands of carers who received Carer’s Allowance on the date of 11 October 2021.
