The last 2 years have seen us all living through tough rules around Covid19. It is great to be associated with these awards that celebrate businesses. This fits perfectly with the Association’s ongoing mission to be More Than Just A Landlord, Making Our Communities Better Places. No one has shown this more than the businesses put up for this years awards.
Local business plays a huge part in the community by way of employment and delivery of services. They are key to the success of our towns, cities, and the wider region. During this time, these businesses have shown courage in the continued delivery of key services to our communities. Cunninghame Housing Association is helping to transform lives in Dumfries & Galloway with over 250 new build reasonable homes. We have delivered 90 new homes in the former Halcrow Stadium in Gretna. Another 115 new homes in Annan between the Former Carrs Billington area. Hallmeadow and Windermere Road homes and 45 new homes in the former Lockerbie Academy. Cunninghame Housing Association has a programme for Dumfries & Galloway. It will deliver a total of 698 new homes during the five years to 2026. A further 500 will be built to 2031; totalling 1,198 new homes for social rent in the area.
