Janet Strang the Chair of Cunninghame Housing Association gave a cheque for £1000 to 19 year old Ryan Henry. This will help with his competition costs for this season. Ryan trains locally in Saltcoats with North Ayrshire Table Tennis Club (NATTC) and is applying for his coaching license. He has successfully stood for GBR in global competitions and won a bronze medal while competing in Mexico. Ryan is also studying for a BA in Sports Coaching and Development at the University of West of Scotland.
Janet Strang Chair commented. “We are delighted to Ryan Henry who is the Men’s Singles Champion of the Scottish National Disability Championships.”
The funds came from the “Making Our Communities a Better Place Fund”. It runs throughout the year (1st April 2021 to 31st March) until the funds are exhausted.
