Carer Support Payment has launched as a pilot in Dundee City and Perth and Kinross.
You can apply if
– You look after someone who gets a disability benefit for 35+ hours per week
– Earn less than £139 per week
– Do not already get Carer’s Allowance from DWP
People in more areas will be able to apply from Spring 2024 and Carer Support Payment available across Scotland in Autumn 2024.
Carer Support Payment is replacing DWP’s Carer’s Allowance in Scotland. You do not need to apply if you already get Carer’s Allowance from DWP as your award will transfer automatically.
