At present, families on Universal Credit can get £646.35 Childcare costs for 1 child. £1,108.04 for 2 or more children, but they have to pay upfront and then get back 85% of the costs.
From 28 June families on Universal Credit can get £951 for one or £1,630 for two or more children.
The first month of childcare costs will now be paid up front when going to work or extra working hours.
